CIRP Survey of UIC New Freshmen - The Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) conducts an annual survey of first-time, full-time freshmen at colleges and universities across the country. The survey includes questions on such topics as high school activities, college choice, educational aspirations, and paying for college.


CSEQ Survey - Freshmen and Seniors, Spring 2004 - The College Student Experiences Questionnaire (CSEQ), administered by the Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Planning and Research, includes student ratings of the college environment, reading and writing activities, and gains in knowledge and skills.

NSSE Survey - The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), administered by the Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Planning and Research, collects data on the participation of undergraduates in the learning environment of their college or university. The survey includes questions on learning experiences, course work, use of time, and the college support environment.

Student Satisfaction Inventory, Fall 1996 - The Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI) is a national survey conducted at colleges and universities by the Noel-Levitz consulting firm. Students rate the importance of and their satisfaction with over 100 factors covering many different areas of their college experience. A "performance gap score" is calculated by subtracting the mean satisfaction rating for an item from the mean importance rating.

English 161 Survey - Students in English 161, Composition II, are surveyed concerning their choice of section, course benefits, reading and writing in the course, and activities associated with writing a research paper. Students also rate the difficulty of their writing experiences before and after taking English 161.

EXIT Survey of Graduating Students - This survey collects information on satisfaction with academic experiences, interest in Alumni Association activities, employment, and future education plans. Results are available for each UIC college. Conducted each year by the Chicago Office of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
