Welcome

The Office of Programs and Academic Assessment serves to help academic units on the campus to establish new degree programs and research and public service centers and institutes for presentation to the Board of Trustees and the Illinois Board of Higher Education; revise existing programs; and create and revise undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses. It also assists units with the assessment of academic programs through the IBHE program review process, the IBHE performance report, the accreditation process of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Assocation, and with student assessment.

The staff serves as a resource for the campus in explaining, interpreting,and facilitating the development of academic policies, guidelines, and regulations. Further, the staff interacts on a daily basis with academic units to respond to questions and solve problems with respect to programmatic matters and the submission of courses in the Course Request System (CRS).
