Welcome
The Office of Programs and Academic Assessment serves to help academic units on the campus to establish new degree programs and research and public
service centers and institutes for presentation to the Board of Trustees and the Illinois Board of Higher Education; revise existing programs; and create and
revise undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses. It also assists units with the assessment of academic programs through the IBHE program review process, the IBHE performance report, the accreditation process of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Assocation, and with
student assessment.
The staff serves as a resource for the campus in explaining, interpreting,and facilitating the development of academic policies, guidelines, and
regulations. Further, the staff interacts on a daily basis with academic units to respond to questions and solve problems with respect to
programmatic matters and the submission of courses in the Course Request System (CRS).

Academic Program Review The Program Review Manual 2007-2015 provides guidelines and describes self study reporting requirements for university review of academic units.
Academic Assessment The Office of Programs and Academic Assessment supports the campus-wide effort for assessment of student learning outcomes.

Banner Code Reports and Enterprise Data Warehouse Provides lists of major UIC organization codes(administrative roll-up,colleges and departments) and UIC student program codes.
Course Request System (CRS) A web-based application used to manage the workflow of all new course requests, changes and drops through required campus approval levels. Adding and deleting users. Blank course request form.
| Courses and Catalogs Links to the current catalogs as well as course descriptions on the web.
Forms This section contains various forms including Format for Academic Program Changes, Request for a New Unit of Instruction, Request for New Administrative, Research or Public Service Unit and CRS Access Authorization Form.
Important Dates Deadlines for courses, Course Schedule production and program proposals. Meeting dates for various committees involved in program approval (e.g. Senate, the Senate Committee on Educational Policy, Graduate College Executive Committee, etc.)
