This report provides a highly aggregated display of financial, space, staff, student, instructional, and research data for academic units of the UIC campus. It is updated and published each year to include current fiscal year data as well as comparative data from the previous three fiscal years. Its purpose is to describe resource distribution and resulting performances for the various academic departments of the UIC Campus.
Efforts, contributions and cooperation from a broad spectrum of campus units and data systems has been required to produce this document. Although, by necessity the data are highly aggregated and selective, an intense effort has been made to provide information that is accurate and representative of overall campus programs and priorities.
The report is organized according to each College and Departmental unit. While the primary display of data occurs at the Departmental level, aggregations of the data are also provided by College.
Within each unit, the data is organized according to: FUNDS, SPACE, STAFF, STUDENTS, SPONSORED RESEARCH, COST STUDY, RATIOS, FACULTY FELLOWS & AWARDS, and SCHOLARLY ACTIVITY. A further explanation of the organization and meaning of the data is provided in the GLOSSARY which follows.
Over 100 additional reports showing greater detail and additional permutations of the data are available on-line via the ADN (Academic Data Network) to all staff having an active ADN account. Just type in the command DRIARPTS for documentation, help screens, and a menu that provides access.
